Revelation Unlocked

Chapter 17

In Chapter 17 one of the 7 angels, which had one of the 7 vials, came and talked to John saying: "Come hither; I will show unto thee the Judgement of the Great Whore that sitteth upon many waters :2) with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication". :3) So the angel carried John away, in the spirit, into the Wilderness; and John saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having 7 heads and 10 horns. :4) And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with 'G'-old and precious stones and pearls, having a 'G'-olden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication :5) And upon her forehead was a name written, 'Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth'. :6) And John saw the woman drunken with the blood of the SaintS, and with the blood of the Martyrs of Jesus: and when he saw her, he wondered with Great Admiration! :7) And the angel said unto John, "Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast which carrieth her, which hath 7 heads and 10 horns". :8) The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit (of time), and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the 'Book of Life' from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is". :9) "And here is the mind which hath wisdom.  The 7 heads are 7 mountains (pie shaped time segments), on which the woman sitteth. :10) And there are 7 kings (pole stars?): 5 are fallen (as of the time John wrote this- being 'Errai'/'Alrai', 'Alderamin', 'Deneb', 'Vega', 'Eltamin'), one is ('Thuban'), and the other is not yet come; and when he (it) cometh, he (it) must continue a short space. :11) And the beast that was, and is not, even he (it) is the 8th and is of the 7, and goeth into perdition. (I believe this is the pole star of 'Polaris'). :12) And the 10 horns which thou saweth (these are time periods of @216 years each) are 10 kings, which have received no kingdom as yet (this is at the time of John's writing); but receive Power as Kings one hour with the beast (one hour again means 1/12 time around the 'Great Clock Circle' or @2,160 years). :14) These shall make war with the Lamb, and the 'L'-am-'b' shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful".  We can look to the 'Book of Daniel' Chapter 7 out of the 'Old Testament' for more clues about the 10 horns and the 'little horn' that comes up among them, and who subdues 3 of the original 10 horns/kings.  This 'little horn' is a shorter time period than the others as it lasts for less than the 216 years.  3 of the original 10 horns are plucked up by their roots.  These are also the 10 toes spoken of by Daniel in Chapter 2 verses 31-45 where he interprets King Nebuchadnezzar's dream.  The feet and toes are part iron and part miry clay.  Rev. 17:15 And the angel said unto John, "The waters which thou saweth, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues, :16) And the 10 horns (time periods) which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. :17) For GOD hath put in their hearts to fulfill His will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of GOD shall be fulfilled. :18) And the woman which thou sawest is that Great City, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
